...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT SATURDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 492... * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 492 Central Utah West Desert. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. A cold front will bring a wind shift out of the northwest overnight Friday with winds decreasing in magnitude from northwest to southeast. Winds may remain elevated, particularly across the southern and eastern portions of the zone throughout the day on Saturday, depending on the timing of the cold front and how far south and east it progresses. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 4 to 9 percent. * OVERNIGHT RECOVERY...25 to 40 percent, higher values further north and west with lower values across the south. * IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected.
