...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON
MDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected for elevations above 7,500ft in the northern
mountains, 8,000ft in the central mountains, and 8,500ft in the
southern mountains.

For the northern mountains, total snow accumulations up to 3 to 7
inches, with upwards of 8 to 14 inches in the upper Cottonwood
Canyons.

For the central and southern mountains, total snow accumulations of
8 to 16 inches, with upwards of 18 inches in the Tushar Mountains
and Brian Head area.

* WHERE...Central Mountains, Wasatch Plateau/Book Cliffs, Wasatch
Mountains South of I-80, Western Uinta Mountains, and Southern
Mountains.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to noon MDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions are expected for elevations
above 7,500ft in the northern mountains, 8,000ft in the central
mountains, and 8,500ft in the southern mountains.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will be starting out around
9,000-9,500ft at the onset of heavier precipitation and will
gradually lower through the overnight hours. The lowest snow
levels are expected by early to mid-morning on Wednesday as
moisture begins to taper off.
