Northeastern Davis County in northern Utah...
West central Morgan County in northern Utah...

* Until 230 PM MDT.

* At 155 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Uintah, or 7
miles east of Layton, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Ogden, Layton, Farmington, Morgan, Hill Air Force Base, Kaysville,
South Ogden, Washington Terrace, South Weber, Uintah, Weber State
University, Fruit Heights, Huntsville, Mountain Green, Stoddard,
Peterson, Pineview Reservoir, East Layton, and Snowbasin.

This includes Interstate 84 between mile markers 85 and 103.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

southwestern Davis, northwestern Utah and east central Tooele
Counties through 215 PM MDT
...

At 133 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 12 miles south of Great Salt Lake South of the
Causeway to 9 miles southeast of Skull Valley. Movement was northeast
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Tooele, Grantsville, Stansbury
Park, Tooele Army Depot, Magna, Bingham Canyon Mine, Great Salt Lake
South of the Causeway, Stockton, Rush Valley, Erda, Copperton, Lake
Point, and Antelope Island State Park.

This storm will be capable of producing strong gusty winds on the
Great Salt Lake. This will lead to a sudden increase in waves and
very choppy waters which will result in hazardous boating conditions.
Boaters are urged to seek safe harbor if possible.

This includes Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 85 and 112.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
