* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...South Central Carbon County in central Utah...
Northwestern Emery County in central Utah...
Southeastern Sanpete County in central Utah...

* WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 418 PM MDT, emergency management reported high flows on
Cottonwood Creek from heavy rainfall, with water approaching the
bridge on Main Street in Orangeville. Flooding is also occurring
in Welcome Park in Orangeville. Up to 2 inches of rain has fallen
according to radar estimates, with the most rainfall updrainage
from Castle Dale and Huntington.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Huntington, Wellington, Sunnyside, Clawson, Castle Dale, Ferron,
Orangeville, East Carbon, Cleveland and Elmo.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM MDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHERN EMERY AND NORTH CENTRAL WAYNE COUNTIES...

At 320 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across portions of the San Rafael Swell including Goblin Valley,
Little Wildhorse, Crack, Chute, Ding, Dang, Muddy Creek and all slot
canyons and dry washes in and near southern Emery and north central
Wayne County. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of slot canyons, normally
dry washes, streams, creeks and rivers.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Goblin Valley, Little Wildhorse, Crack, Chute, Ding, Dang, Muddy
Creek and all slot canyons and dry washes in and near southern
Emery and north central Wayne County.

* WHERE...A portion of Utah, including the following areas, Castle
Country, Central Mountains, Eastern Juab/Millard Counties, San
Rafael Swell, Sanpete Valley, Sevier Valley, Bryce Canyon Country,
Capitol Reef National Park and Vicinity, Glen Canyon Recreation
Area/Lake Powell, South Central Utah, Southern Mountains, Upper
Sevier River Valleys, Western Canyonlands, Lower Washington County
and Zion National Park.

* WHEN...Through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, dry washes, slot canyons, and other low-lying and
flood-prone locations such as slickrock areas and recent burn scars
including Widemouth 2, Cottonwood, Monroe Canyon, Forsyth, and
other recent burn scars. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and
urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Deep moisture will continue to support thunderstorms with heavy
rainfall across the watch area through Monday evening,
particularly during the afternoon and evening. Some areas,
particularly across the Sanpete and Sevier Valleys as well as
Castle Country, have already seen heavy rainfall and will be even
more prone to flooding given saturated soils.
