At 345 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Lake Conroe Dam, or 7 miles west of Conroe, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Conroe, Cleveland, Panorama Village, Splendora, Patton Village, Roman Forest, Woodbranch, Cut And Shoot, Montgomery, North Cleveland, Woodloch, Lake Conroe Dam, Porter Heights, New Caney, and Porter. ...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 PM CDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 35 to 45 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Texas. * WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 7 PM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will increase from the northwest later today into this evening behind a cold front. Winds will remain elevated through Wednesday. Lulls in the wind are expected and not everyone will experience advisory level winds during the entire duration of the event.
