...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kinney, Llano, Medina, Real, Travis, Uvalde, Val Verde and Williamson. * WHEN...Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An upper level disturbance along the Rio Grande in combination with abundant tropical moisture are likely to bring another round of heavy rain across parts of the Rio Grande, southern Edwards Plateau, and Hill Country. Rain rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour could lead to flooding over areas affected by last night heavy rains that lasted through about noon on Monday. Additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall and up to 6 inches are possible within the Flood Watch area - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
