An approaching trough from the west will increase winds across the
region this afternoon. Sustained southwest winds of 15 to 25 knots
with gusts 25 to 35 knots are expected to begin mid-afternoon and
continue into the early evening hours. In addition, there are
chances for afternoon showers, which are likely to produce
downburst winds and gusty outflow boundaries. This has potential
to further increase winds and bring blowing dust, with reduced
visibilities, to the airport late afternoon through this evening.
Visibility could drop to below 1 SM with outflows, otherwise
visibility is expected to stay above 3-5 SM.
