...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Wichita River at Wichita Falls.

* WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Near bankfull levels occur along the river
in Wichita and Clay counties.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall to 15.8 feet this afternoon.
It will then rise to 16.3 feet tomorrow morning. It will fall
to 16.2 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then rise to
16.3 feet tomorrow evening. It will fall again and remain
below flood stage.
- Action stage is 16.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO JUST AFTER
MIDNIGHT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Red River near Burkburnett.

* WHEN...From this evening to just after midnight tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Crop and range lands... oil fields... and
rural roads are affected. Some low-lying areas near the river may
be isolated by high water in side channels. Bottomlands near
Davidson Oklahoma begin to flood several hours before the crest
approaches the Burkburnett area. The flood crest reaches the area
along the river near Taylor Oklahoma several hours later. Cattle
and other property should be relocated to places which are higher
than nearby river banks to avoid being stranded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM CDT Monday, May 05 the stage was 6.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
- Forecast...The Red River is expected to rise to a crest of
9.0 feet this evening.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
