...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Cameron County in deep south Texas...
Southeastern Willacy County in deep south Texas...

* WHEN...Until 645 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 352 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 0.5 and 1.3 inches of rain has fallen in the past hour.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Los Fresnos, South Padre Island, Rancho Viejo, Rio Hondo,
Laureles, Port Of Brownsville, Olmito, Cameron Park, Arroyo City,
Southmost, Downtown Brownsville, Brownsville, Lincoln Park, Holly
Beach, Laguna Vista Police Department, Palmer Laasko Elementary,
Los Fresnos High School, Los Fresnos City Offices, Laguna Heights
and Lopez - Riggins Elementary School.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
