...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 AM CDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt, rough bay waters and seas 7 to 11 ft expected. * WHERE...Portions of Gulf of America. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 1 AM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A cold front will push offshore by Tuesday evening bringing strong gusty winds and building seas in its wake. A few stronger thunderstorms are possible along and just ahead of the front as well. A small craft advisory will be needed after the gales subside, keep up with the latest forecasts for details on conditions as the slowly improve late Wednesday night. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions. &&
