...WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and south central Texas. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around in the wind. Driving on area roadways may become difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Small tree limbs could break and cause damage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest wind gusts are expected across the northern half of the DFW Metroplex between 10 PM CDT and 1 PM CDT. Wind gusts up to 40 mph have already been observed this morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 20 to 30 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Boaters should use extra caution when venturing onto area lakes. Residents may wish to take action to secure trash cans, lawn furniture, and other lightweight outdoor objects that may be blown around in the strong winds. &&

Expected wind gusts to strenghten over the next hour and persist through mid-afternoon. .CONFIDENCE... High && Low confidence implies a less than 50% chance of occurrence; Medium confidence implies a 50% to 80% chance of occurrence; High confidence implies a greater than 80% chance of occurrence
