...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN ARMSTRONG, SOUTHWESTERN CARSON, SOUTHEASTERN POTTER AND NORTHERN RANDALL COUNTIES... At 926 PM CDT, emergency management reports multiple stranded vehicles due to water over roadways. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Amarillo, Mescalero Park and Bushland. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
