Secondary roads and low water crossings will be flooded and impassible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 24.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:30 PM CDT Thursday was 24.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.2 feet late this afternoon. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crockett, Irion, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Nolan, Runnels, San Saba, Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton and Tom Green. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected over portions of West Central Texas today through early Friday evening. High moisture values will fuel highly efficient rain-producing storms, with model guidance indicating near-stationary clusters capable of producing 2 to 4 inches of rain per hour.
