...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW EVENING... * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Guadalupe River at Hunt. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding reaches the floor of Schumacher Crossing east of Hunt preventing easy travel to western parts of the county. Areas of the headwaters are isolated temporarily as low water crossings flood. At 15.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding puts a few feet of water over Schumacher Crossing near Hunt. ...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bandera, Kerr and Real. * WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 643 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges Between 3 and 15 inches of rain have fallen over the past 48 to 72 hours. There will be residual areas of flooding of poorly drained areas. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible over the area in next few hours with storms moving in from the south. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 639 PM CDT, Between 10 and 20 inches of rain have fallen over the past 48 hours. There will be residual areas of flooding of poorly drained areas. Also, due to the severity of the earlier flooding, there could be debris on roadways that could make travel conditions hazardous. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible over the area in next few hours with storms moving in from the south. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bandera, Blanco, Dimmit, Edwards, Frio, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kinney, Llano, Maverick, Medina, Real, Uvalde, Val Verde and Zavala. * WHEN...Through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...There is a potential for life threatening flooding somewhere in the watch area. Considerable to locally catastrophic flash flooding impacts are likely for the southern Edwards Plateau, Rio Grande, Hill Country, and US 90 corridor west of San Antonio. Excessive runoff will result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Catastrophic impacts are possible downstream of the heaviest rains. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Intense rainfall rates and compounding effects from multiple rounds of storms will maintain a dangerous flash flood threat through Friday morning.
