In south central Texas, Milam and Robertson. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow moving thunderstorms may result in additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with isolated totals in excess of 4-5 inches. - weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR WEST CENTRAL BELL AND SOUTHWESTERN CORYELL COUNTIES... At 113 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Killeen, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, Fort Hood, Nolanville, Evant, Stillhouse Hollow Lake, Pidcoke, Topsey, King, Pearl, South Purmela and Bee House. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
