...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Brazoria, Galveston and Harris. * WHEN...Until 415 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 211 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Very heavy rain rates are occurring which will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Be especially careful on feeder roads where construction is occurring. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Southwestern Pasadena, Pearland, League City, Friendswood, Alvin, South Houston, Santa Fe, Webster, Manvel, Greater Hobby Area, South Belt / Ellington, Clear Lake, Macgregor, Greater Eastwood, Greater Third Ward, Astrodome Area, Second Ward, Midtown Houston, Downtown Houston and University Place. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
