Coastal waters from Port Aransas to Matagorda Ship Channel out 20 NM... Copano, Aransas, and Redfish Bays... Corpus Christi and Nueces Bays... At 1234 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 11 nm north of Portland to near Rockport to 9 nm northeast of Port Aransas to 12 nm east of Packery Channel, moving east at 35 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats, damage vessels and oil rigs, and create suddenly higher waves. Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Locations impacted include... Southeastern Refugio County in south central Texas... * Until 115 PM CDT. * At 1227 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Bayside to near Port Aransas to 10 miles east of Mustang Island State Park, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Locations impacted include... ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of south Texas, including the following areas, Aransas Islands, Bee, Calhoun Islands, Coastal Aransas, Coastal Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal Refugio, Coastal San Patricio, Duval, Goliad, Inland Calhoun, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland Refugio, Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells, Kleberg Islands, La Salle, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces Islands, Victoria and Webb. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Periods of rain, at times heavy, will continue through the weekend.
