...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 9 PM CST SUNDAY FOR STRONG NORTH WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY ACROSS ALL OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS... The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a Red Flag Warning for strong winds and low relative humidity across South Central Texas, which is in effect from 9 AM to 9 PM CST Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...All counties of South Central Texas. * TIMING...From 9 AM to 9 PM CST Sunday. * WINDS...North 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 to 20 percent. * TEMPERATURES...up to 73. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. &&
