...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST AND SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS... * AFFECTED AREA...Colorado, Wharton, Inland Jackson, Inland Matagorda, Coastal Jackson, Coastal Matagorda and Matagorda Islands. * WINDS...Northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Around and just above 70 degrees. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Area burn bans should be obeyed, and extreme caution used with any equipment or work that could throw sparks into dry vegetation. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly.
