CONCHO...SOUTHEASTERN IRION AND SUTTON COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM CDT...

At 220 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Christoval to The Intersection Of I-10 And
Ranch Road 1989 to 12 miles northwest of Juno. Movement was east at
30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Southern San Angelo, Sonora, Eldorado, Mertzon, Christoval, Wall,
Knickerbocker, Vancourt, Lake Nasworthy, Tankersley, Eola, Twin
Buttes Reservoir, Sherwood, Fort Mckavett, Us-277 Near The Sutton-
Schleicher County Line, Camp Sol Mayer, I-10 Near The Crockett-
Sutton County Line, The Intersection Of Us-
277 And Ranch Road 189, The Intersection Of I-
10 And Ranch Road 1989, and The Intersection Of Us-
190 And Ranch Road 1828.

This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 368 and 417.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
west central Texas.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Brown, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crockett, Irion,
Kimble, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Nolan, Runnels, San Saba,
Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton, Taylor and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A line of showers and thunderstorms will move through West
Central Texas late morning through this evening. Heavy
rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible as the storms
move through, A few areas may see up to 5 inches. With soils
already saturated, rainfall will quickly run off and produce
flash flooding. Low water crossings, city streets, and other
flood prone and low lying areas will be particularly
susceptible.
