...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST MONDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 5 degrees below zero possible over parts of the Hill Country and southern Edwards Plateau late tonight through Monday morning. Forecast wind chills for the rest of the area range from the single digits to the teens. * WHERE...All of South Central Texas. * WHEN...Until noon CST Monday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 5 degrees below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite on exposed skin if precautions are not taken. Extreme cold will become life threatening and likely damage unprotected pipes and put livestock at risk. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water.
