...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM CDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Texas, including the following
county, Dallas.

* WHEN...Until 145 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Overflowing poor-drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- emergency management reported minor flooding. Low lying
and/or poor drainage areas have already experienced minor
flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are
forecast.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dallas, Garland, Mesquite, Carrollton, Richardson, Rowlett,
Desoto, Cedar Hill, Wylie, Duncanville, Lancaster, Farmers
Branch, Balch Springs, University Park, Sachse, Seagoville,
Addison, Glenn Heights, Highland Park and Hutchins.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and south central
Texas, including the following counties, in north central Texas,
Bell, Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Falls, Fannin,
Freestone, Grayson, Hill, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Limestone,
McLennan, Montague, Navarro, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise. In
northeast Texas, Anderson, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Leon,
Rains and Van Zandt. In south central Texas, Milam and Robertson.

* WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Creeks and
streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches, with isolated higher
amounts up to 4 to 5 inches.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
