...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of central Zavala County through 245 PM CDT... At 155 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near La Pryor, moving northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... La Pryor, Batesville, and Las Colonias. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 244 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 14 COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS BANDERA DIMMIT EDWARDS FRIO GILLESPIE KERR KINNEY LLANO MAVERICK MEDINA REAL UVALDE VAL VERDE ZAVALA THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BANDERA, BRACKETTVILLE, CARRIZO SPRINGS, CRYSTAL CITY, DEL RIO, EAGLE PASS, FREDERICKSBURG, HONDO, KERRVILLE, LEAKEY, LLANO, PEARSALL, ROCKSPRINGS, AND UVALDE.
