...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Coastal Harris, Grimes, Houston, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller and Washington. * WHEN...Through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff has resulted in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Additional flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive river flooding is ongoing and additional street flooding remains possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A lull in widespread heavy rain is expected through this evening; however, some scattered showers/storms are possible this afternoon which may contribute to the ongoing flooding. The next round of heavy rainfall is expected late tonight into Sunday.
