...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING
FOR NORTHEASTERN PALO PINTO AND NORTHWESTERN PARKER COUNTIES...

At 735 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across northern Palo Pinto and Parker counties. The heavy rain
from earlier has ended, but additional rounds of heavy rain are
possible over the next 1 to 2 hours. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Mineral Wells, Graford, Cool, Lake Mineral Wells, Millsap, Adell,
Advance, Salesville, Peadenville, Oran, Whitt, Garner and Authon.

High water flows and lowland flooding is expected along Keechi
Creek, particularly along the east fork.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
