...GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...North winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and seas
12 to 17 ft possible.

* WHERE...All Lower Texas Coastal Waters including the Laguna
Madre.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong cold front will cross Deep South
Texas overnight Tuesday, leading to an abrupt wind shift from
southerly to northerly across the Lower Texas waters during the
mid to late evening hours Tuesday. The strongest winds should be
across all the waters across midnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.

DEEP SOUTH TEXAS...

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Zapata, Jim Hogg, Brooks, Inland Kenedy,
Starr, Southern Hidalgo, Inland Willacy, Inland Cameron,
Coastal Kenedy, Northern Hidalgo, Coastal Willacy, Coastal
Cameron, Kenedy Island, Willacy Island and Cameron Island.

* TIMING...From Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.

* WINDS...Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Up to 80.

* LIGHTNING...None

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop could rapidly increase in size
and intensity, move quickly, and be very difficult to control.
