CRANE AND NORTHERN UPTON COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM CDT...

At 450 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong ouflow winds along
a line extending from 13 miles south of Goldsmith to 8 miles
southeast of West Odessa to 13 miles south of Midland International
Air and Space Port to 11 miles south of Lomax. Movement was south at
20 mph. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are also developing along and
north of this outflow boundary and were moving northwest at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Midland, Odessa, Andrews, Greenwood, Stanton, Goldsmith, Lomax,
Lenorah, Midland International Air and Space Port, West Odessa,
Tarzan, Cotton Flat, Midkiff, Warfield, Midland Airpark, Skywest
Airport, Courtney, Odessa Schlemeyer Field, Penwell, and Saint
Lawrence.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 90 and 168.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast New Mexico, including the following
areas, Central Lea, Eddy County Plains, Guadalupe Mountains of
Eddy County, Northern Lea and Southern Lea and Texas, including
the following areas, Andrews, Central Brewster, Chinati Mountains,
Davis Mountains, Davis Mountains Foothills, Dawson, Eastern
Culberson, Ector, Gaines, Guadalupe Mountains Above 7000 Feet,
Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains, Loving, Lower Brewster County,
Marfa Plateau, Presidio Valley, Reeves County Plains, Van Horn and
Highway 54 Corridor, Ward and Winkler.

* WHEN...Until midnight MDT /1 AM CDT/ tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
