HAMBLEN COUNTIES THROUGH 1130 PM EDT...

At 1043 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Rutledge, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Morristown, Rutledge, Bean Station, Russellville, Mosheim, Bulls Gap,
Mooresburg, Thorn Hill, Lowland, and Mohawk.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east Tennessee, including the following areas:
Anderson, Blount Smoky Mountains, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke Smoky
Mountains, Grainger, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson,
Knox, North Sevier, Northwest Blount, Northwest Carter, Northwest
Cocke, Northwest Greene, Scott TN, Sevier Smoky Mountains,
Southeast Carter, Southeast Greene, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union and
Washington TN and southwest Virginia, including the following
areas, Lee, Russell, Scott VA, Washington VA and Wise.

* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional showers and storms are possible this afternoon and
evening. Due to recent rainfall, poor antecedent soil conditions
will lead to heightened chances for localized flash flooding with
this additional convection. Chances for additional showers and
storms remain overnight as well, though how widespread is
uncertain.
