At 649 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles northwest of Ashland City, moving northwest at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Clarksville, Coopertown, Pleasant View, Adams, and Cheatham Dam. This includes Interstate 24 between mile markers 7 and 28. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Overnight conditions will be very uncomfortable with lows in the 70s. * WHERE...Middle Tennessee. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM CDT Friday. For the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM Friday to 8 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
