At 207 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Milan, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Milan, McKenzie, Huntingdon, Dresden, Gleason, Bradford, Atwood, Trezevant, Hollow Rock, Gibson, McLemoresville, Howley, Hickory Flat, Hillard, Sandhill, Cades, New Enterprise, Ledbetter, Leach, and Staffords Store. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Crockett County in Tennessee... Eastern Fayette County in Tennessee... Southeastern Gibson County in Tennessee... Northern Hardeman County in Tennessee... Haywood County in Tennessee... Madison County in Tennessee... * WHEN...Until 330 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 128 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area.
