* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, including the following county,
Crittenden and West Tennessee, including the following county,
Shelby.

* WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 155 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bartlett, Southaven, Collierville, Germantown, West Memphis,
Marion, Millington, Cordova, T O Fuller State Park, Meeman
Shelby Forest State Park, Memphis, Lakeland, Arlington,
Edmondson, Sunset, Midtown Memphis, Frayser, Downtown
Memphis, Southeast Memphis and Ellendale.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, including the following areas,
Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Lee AR, Mississippi, Poinsett and
St. Francis, North Mississippi, including the following areas,
Benton MS, DeSoto, Marshall, Tate and Tunica, and West Tennessee,
including the following areas, Fayette, Hardeman, Haywood,
Lauderdale, Shelby and Tipton.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Training storms have set up along a cold front. These will be
producing rain rates of 2-3 inches per hour in some cases,
lasting for much of the day.
