locally higher amounts near 12 inches possible for highest peaks
in the Smokies.

expected at times over the Valley and Plateau as well as Southwest
North Carolina, while values as low as zero to 10 below zero can
be expected at times over Southwest Virginia.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest North Carolina, east Tennessee, and
southwest Virginia.

* WHEN...From 5 AM EST /4 AM CST/ early this morning to 1 PM EST
/noon CST/ Sunday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if
