...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EST /1 PM CST/ THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following
counties, Anderson, Bledsoe, Campbell, Claiborne, Marion, Morgan,
Rhea, Roane, Scott and Sequatchie.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM EST /100 PM CST/.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1050 AM EST /950 AM CST/, emergency management reported
flooding in the advisory area. Overflowing poor drainage
areas have already caused minor flooding in the advisory
area.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
La Follette, Dunlap, Oneida, Jasper, Pikeville, Wartburg,
Signal Mountain, South Pittsburg, Jacksboro, Whitwell,
Kimball, Huntsville, Monteagle, Helenwood, Fairmount,
Jellico, Caryville, Powells Crossroads, Winfield and
Sunbright.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

SUNDAY NIGHT TO 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/ MONDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills from 2 to 8 degrees above zero are
expected.

* WHERE...Most of southwest North Carolina, east Tennessee, and
southwest Virginia.

* WHEN...From midnight EST /11 PM CST/ Sunday Night to 10 AM EST /9
AM CST/ Monday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if
precautions are not taken.
