AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 30 to 40 mph with
gusts up to 60 mph expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch,
dangerously cold wind chills as low as 34 below zero possible.

* WHERE...Brule, Charles Mix, and Gregory Counties.

* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, from 7 AM this morning to 6 PM CST
this evening. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Thursday evening
through Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. The
dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
