At 646 AM CDT /546 AM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a line of
strong thunderstorms extending from 7 miles southwest of Ridgeview to
6 miles southeast of Pierre, or extending from 18 miles east of Eagle
Butte to 6 miles southeast of Pierre, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Pierre, Grey Goose, Bush's Landing, Overlook Rec Area, Spring Creek
Rec Area, Cow Creek Rec Area, Little Bend Rec Area, Okobojo Point
Rec Area, Fort Pierre and West Shore Rec Area around 650 AM CDT.
Ridgeview and Rousseau around 655 AM CDT.
Sutton Bay Rec Area, Laplant and Canning around 700 AM CDT.
Sully Lake, Tiospaye Topa School and Onida around 705 AM CDT.
Swiftbird, Blunt and Swiftbird Day School around 710 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this strong thunderstorm include Lake
Oahe.

weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
