The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 3 PM CDT /2 PM MDT/ this afternoon to 8 PM CDT /7 PM MDT/ this evening. A Red Flag Warning has also been issued from 11 AM CDT /10 AM MDT/ to 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...In South Dakota, Corson, Campbell, McPherson, Walworth, Edmunds, Dewey, Faulk, Stanley and Hand. * WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 35 mph today and up to 55 mph on Sunday. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 14 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. &&
