...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM EDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of east central Georgia, including the following counties, Burke and Richmond and central South Carolina, including the following county, Aiken. * WHEN...Until 1230 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1131 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Aiken, Aiken Mall, Clearwater, New Ellenton, Jackson, Gloverville, Graniteville, Citizens Park, USC Aiken, McBean, Burnettown, Beech Island, New Savannah Bluff Lock & Dam Park and Shell Bluff Landing. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
