For the Extreme Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 111 possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast North Carolina and northeast South Carolina. * WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening. For the Extreme Heat Watch, from Saturday morning through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sunshine, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Provide outside pets and livestock plenty of fresh drinking water and allow accessibility to well ventilated and shaded areas. &&
