...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Berkeley County in southeastern South Carolina... Dorchester County in southeastern South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 130 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At noon EDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rainfall extending from Wilsons Landing and Eadytown south through Hussertown. As much as 1 to 2 inches of rain have fallen in this area this morning. An additional 1 to 2 inches could fall through 130 PM, resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cross, Eadytown, Prioleau, Cross Cross Roads, Moorefield, Black Creek, Hussertown, Sandridge, Ebenezer and Pineville. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. &&

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia, including the following areas, Bulloch, Candler, Coastal Bryan, Coastal Chatham, Coastal Liberty, Coastal McIntosh, Effingham, Evans, Inland Bryan, Inland Chatham, Inland Liberty, Inland McIntosh, Jenkins, Long, Screven and Tattnall and southeast South Carolina, including the following areas, Allendale, Beaufort, Charleston, Coastal Colleton, Coastal Jasper, Dorchester, Hampton, Inland Berkeley, Inland Colleton, Inland Jasper and Tidal Berkeley. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Bands of heavy rainfall will spread across Southeast Georgia and Southeast South Carolina throughout the day. Widespread rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts of 3 to 6 inches possible.
