MORNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN SPARTANBURG AND WEST CENTRAL UNION SC
COUNTIES...

At 1223 AM EDT, Rain will continue to quickly end across the warned
area but excessive runoff after a widespread 4 inch rainfall will
continue.  Remain wary of rapidly rising stream and river levels
along Dutchmans Creek and the Tyger River, east of I-26 to the
highway 49 bridge over the Tyger River.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Mainly rural areas of Southeastern Spartanburg and West Central
Union Counties generally north of Cross Anchor and Cross Keys.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Central Spartanburg County in upstate South Carolina...

* WHEN...Until 115 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1116 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area as locally as much
of 3 inches of rain had fallen or will accumulate.  Be wary of
high water conditions from around Reidville to Moore and
downstream within the lower Tyger River basin.

Roebuck, Reidville, Moore and Pauline.
