...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...North Fork Edisto River at Orangeburg. * WHEN...Until Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Some minor flooding occurs along the boardwalk at Edisto Gardens. Downstream from the Highway 301 bridge, some roads off Chiquita street near the river begin to flood. At 10.0 feet, Farmland and lowlands along Highway 301 near Orangeburg become flooded at stages above 10 ft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 8.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM EDT Wednesday was 8.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Thursday morning and continue falling to 6.6 feet Monday evening. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood &&

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the following counties, Bamberg and Orangeburg. * WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1134 AM EDT, river gauge reports upstream along the Edisto River are above flood stage and water is moving downstream. Roughly 6-8 inches of rain fell early in the week. The North Fork of the Edisto River is about to crest, however, water continues to flow through the South Fork of the Edisto River. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
