...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level along shorelines and tidal waterways (8.0 to 8.2 feet Mean Lower Low Water at Charleston). * WHERE...Coastal Colleton and Charleston Counties. * WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Significant saltwater inundation will render numerous roads impassable. Properties may also flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide occurred around 9:04 PM this evening at Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be possible 1 to 2 hours after high tide. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia, including the following areas, Bulloch, Candler, Coastal Bryan, Coastal Chatham, Coastal Liberty, Coastal McIntosh, Effingham, Evans, Inland Bryan, Inland Chatham, Inland Liberty, Inland McIntosh, Jenkins, Long, Screven and Tattnall and southeast South Carolina, including the following areas, Allendale, Beaufort, Charleston, Coastal Colleton, Coastal Jasper, Dorchester, Hampton, Inland Berkeley, Inland Colleton, Inland Jasper and Tidal Berkeley. * WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain could fall across saturated grounds in the Lowcountry and Southeast Georgia through late tonight. The risk for flash flooding continues with some areas near the coast receiving at least 6 to 11 inches of rain since Friday. ...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following county, Charleston. * WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 306 PM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms resulting in flooding conditions. Over the past 30 hours, between 6 and 10 inches of rain have fallen across the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Edisto Beach, Johns Island, West Ashley, James Island, Downtown Charleston, Fort Sumter, Hollywood and Folly Beach. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
