* Until 645 PM EDT.

* At 451 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Evans, Martinez, Riverwood, Forks Campground, Fury's Ferry Boat
Ramp, River Island, Riverside Park, Stevens Creek Public Park,
Westport, German Island, Ninety Nine Islands, Evans Towne Center
Park, Savannah Rapids Park, Woodbridge, Evans Medical Center, Lost
Wilderness Fire Station, Poverty Hill, Clarks Hill, Blanchard

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Georgia, including the following
counties, Columbia, Lincoln, McDuffie and Richmond and central
South Carolina, including the following counties, Aiken,
Edgefield, McCormick and Saluda.

* WHEN...Until 645 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 447 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
North Augusta, Grovetown, Evans, Martinez, Edgefield, Harlem,
Johnston, Ridge Spring, Clarks Hill Recreation Area, J. Strom
Thurmond Dam, Hamilton Branch State Park, Riverwood, Village
Plaza Shopping Center, Augusta Mall, Edgefield County
Airport, Appling, Mistletoe State Park, Trenton, Parksville
and Ward.
