...INCREASED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND BREEZY WINDS... A dry air mass will settle into the area today with low relative humidity expected during this afternoon, generally between 25 to 30 percent. With breezy winds ahead of an approaching cold front, combined with dry fuels as determined by forestry partners, an elevated fire weather threat will be in place across the Midlands and CSRA today. Outdoor fires will have the potential to spread quickly, increasing the danger of wildfires.
