For the Heat Advisory, heat index values of 108 to 111 expected. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon could provide relief in some areas. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside.
