Waters from South Santee River SC to Savannah GA out 20 NM... * At 229 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This strong thunderstorm was located near Seabrook Island, moving southeast at 10 knots. Locations impacted include... Edisto Beach, Folly Beach, Seabrook Island, Kiawah Island, Fripp Island, Edisto Beach State Park, Harbor Island, Beachwalker Park and Hunting Island. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. This thunderstorm will likely produce winds to around 30 knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A Special Marine Warning may eventually be required if this storm strengthens further.
