- Storm Intensity 50 mph
- Movement North-northwest or 345 degrees at 8 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Storm Chantal has made landfall along the South Carolina
coast as of early Sunday morning. Chantal has weakened slightly and
will continue to do so as it moves northward across northeast South
Carolina.

Through this afternoon, Chantal will produce limited impacts across
southeast South Carolina. Winds will remain gusty across the coastal
waters with a Tropical Storm Warning and Small Craft Advisories in
effect. Gusty winds will also continue to occur along the Charleston
County coast, especially from around Charleston to McClellanville.

A few light to moderate rain showers will continue to pass through the
area, with the bulk of the activity being limited to the Charleston
Tri-County. However, no significant rainfall is expected. Lastly, a
Moderate Risk of rip currents remain in effect along the entire coast
today.
