West Central Union SC County in upstate South Carolina... * Until 145 AM EDT. * At 1145 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Southeastern Spartanburg and West Central Union SC Counties from east of I-26 to near Cross Keys. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area as locally as much of 3 inches of rain had fallen or will accumulate.
