Special Weather Statement
Issued: 7:38 PM Jan. 27, 2026 – National Weather Service
...PATCHY BLACK ICE AGAIN TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING... Temperatures are expected to fall below freezing again by 8 PM this evening, after which lingering runoff from melted snow and sleet will refreeze on untreated roads. Patchy black ice can be expected once again tonight through Wednesday morning, especially in spots that are normally shady. Icy patches will remain until temperatures can warm above freezing in the late morning hours on Wednesday. If traveling late tonight and Wednesday morning, be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges and overpasses and any untreated roadways. Use extra caution when walking on sidewalks, driveways, and in parking lots.
