evening. For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the

...FIRE DANGER STATEMENT IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

Northeast winds will frequently gust to around 20 to 25 mph today
with relative humidity values dropping to around 20 to 30 percent
this afternoon. This combination of gusty winds, low humidity,
along with extremely dry fuels will result in an elevated risk for
wildfires across much of southeast Georgia and southeast South
Carolina.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn. If you do, you are advised to use extreme caution.
